Powered by a tri-amp system at the rear, power connection via old 3-pin "Quad" style socket. Audio connection via jack socket.
The bass involves a b139 on the baffle firing into a chamber with a b200 facing upwards half way up the cabinet. There is a bass tone control on the front, very little affect on the bass but I believe its adjusting the internal b200 in some way.
Real American walnut veneers, metal castors, foam filters with metal trim on the bass ports.
Stands are made from a 1cm think sheet of steel bent into a "Z" shape. The speaker is then bolted to the metal stand via four bolts.
The sound was very clear, crisp and clean. Loads of detail and information with super top end sparkle. For me though they lacked the warmth I crave from other speakers.
